“Coppélia is a comic ballet from 1870 originally choreographed by Arthur Saint-Léon. The ballet is about Dr. Coppelius, a lonely old alchemist, regarded by the villagers as a sorcerer. He creates his "daughter" Coppélia, a mechanical doll who is so lifelike she fools the villagers into believing she is alive. Franz, a villager engaged to marry Swanilda, one of the most beautiful girls in the village, causes her much dismay  upon the sight of the "new girl" Coppélia. Not realizing that she is only a mechanical doll, he is determined to discover whether she really loves him or not.“

15.    Gamzatti Variation from La Bayadère

“Choreographed by Marius Petipa,  La Bayadère is one of the greatest pieces in the classical repertoire, which debuted in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1877. Gamzatti, is a powerful and wealthy woman who is betrothed to the male protagonist Solor. As she prepares to become his wife, she finds out he is secretly in love with another woman. The variation is a technically demanding piece that highlights her dominant personality within the ballet's story.“

This video is based on the bible story found in Daniel 3:88-25. When we find ourselves in seasons of fire may we find comfort in knowing that there is a 4th man in the fire. God is always with us!
